Hints for Homeowners

YOUR NEIGHBOR can be your most valuable resource. Introduce yourself!

WAYS TO MEET NEIGHBORS: Neighbors’ Nights, held monthly at the clubhouse, are fun and great opportunities to meet and socialize with others. We have a monthly Ladies Luncheon and a Cards Group. You will see many “walkers” regularly making the rounds, and other neighbors using the fitness area and the pool at the clubhouse. Organize and start an additional activity. Come to Board meetings. They are held at the clubhouse, and are open to ALL homeowners. Get involved on a committee or a community project.

YOUR CLUBHOUSE KEY can be obtained through the Management Company. This key also opens the Clubhouse bathrooms.

THE CLUBHOUSE USE: All qualified homeowners wishing to use the Clubhouse for personal events need to follow these steps: Check the availability of the date using the calendar on the home page of the website, Notify the Board Secretary or the Communications Committee to have them place your date on the calendar, Contact the Buildings and Grounds Committee to arrange for a time to inspect the clubhouse after your event.

INSECT REPELLANT will make evening walks more comfortable.

HOMEOWNERS’ DOCUMENTS: Make sure to read them. They provide the guidelines you agreed to abide by when you chose to move to this community. For safe keeping and quick referral, place your copy of the Documents in the back of your Homeowners’ Handbook. Make sure you have all three parts of the Documents: the Articles of Incorporation; the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions; and the Bylaws.

ARC (Architectural Review Committee) will advise you on the process of making changes to the exterior of your home or to your landscaping. You will need approval for many changes. A form is available on the website at the bottom of the Home Page.  Click on the button marked forms.  Fill out the form and click submit to file it electronically to the committee.

LEASING: A homeowner, who is planning to lease his home, must do so for a period of 30 days or more, but not more than twice annually.  A Purchase or Lease Application form must be filed for each instance. The application form is obtainable from Management or the website at the bottom of the Home Page.  Click on the button marked forms.  The lessee must agree to abide by rules of the Glen Eden Homeowners’ Association.  It is the homeowner’s responsibility to make lessees aware of the rules of the Glen Eden Homeowners’ Association. No pets of any kind are permitted in leased residents.

SELLING: A potential homeowner must complete a Purchase or Lease Application form that is available from management.  That will ensure billing and other pertinent information reach the right parties in a timely manner.  The purchaser must agree to abide by the rules of the Glen Eden Homeowners’ Association.  It is the homeowner’s responsibility to make purchaser aware of the rules of the Glen Eden Homeowners’ Association.
