Building & Grounds Update: Caring for Our Community Environment

As many of you have noticed, our lakes are currently experiencing critically low water levels. These lakes are not only a beautiful focal point of our community, but they also serve as the irrigation source for our landscaping. To help conserve water during this period, we have taken two immediate steps:

  • Temporarily all fountains were turned off to reduce evaporation
  • Reduced irrigation schedules for plantings and lawns

We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work together to protect this essential resource.

Bismarck Palm Removal & Future Replacement

Recently, the 20-foot Bismarck palm on the south side of our entrance had to be removed due to disease. While it’s always disappointing to lose a signature tree, removal was necessary to protect the surrounding landscape.

Below is an example of the beautiful Bismarck palm species, similar to the one that was removed:

We are currently gathering quotes for a replacement. Should the Board move forward, replanting will take place during the rainy season to minimize transplant shock and give the new palm the best chance to thrive.

Thank You, Bill Bryzgalski

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to Bill Bryzgalski for dedicating his time to repairing the low-voltage lighting at the front entrance. Even while recovering from back surgery, Bill continues to find ways to contribute to our neighborhood, something we are all incredibly grateful for. Thank you, Bill, for your ongoing commitment and craftsmanship.

Community Appreciation & Clubhouse Update

Our community continues to shine because of neighbors who volunteer their time and energy. We’d like to highlight a few recent efforts.

Thank You, Annmarie Calkins!

A BIG thank-you to Annmarie Calkins for taking the lead on cleaning and fully reorganizing the clubhouse kitchen. She also completed a full inventory of supplies, which means we now know exactly what we have—and won’t accidentally buy duplicates. The space looks fantastic, and we are so grateful for her hard work.

Super Bowl Party & Chili Cook-Off Fun

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Super Bowl Party and Chili Cook-Off! It was a great night of food, fun, and community.

Congratulations to Laurie Hix for winning this year’s Chili Cook-Off!
