The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) lifted the Water Shortage Warning for Collier County, effectively canceling the strict lawn-watering rules and emergency drought restrictions that had been in place since February. The warning was lifted due to heavy wet season rainfall that raised groundwater levels.  Normal watering schedules are still in effect.
